In November 2010, Konstanze von Gutzeit further burnished her reputation as one of the world’s promising young cellists by winning a third place award at the prestigious Grand Prix Emanuel Feuermann. Von Gutzeit also won a special prize for ‘Best Interpretation of a Concerto by CPE Bach.’ These are just a few of the impressive accolades the young artist has garnered since making her solo debut at age 12.
In 2001, at age 16, von Gutzeit was the youngest participant in Germany’s “Jugend Musiziert” (Young People Make Music) competition and won first prize in the Violoncello category. In the same year she also won the grand prize at Austria’s “Gradus ad Parnassum” competition.
